Qld upset Vics to go straight to Final

1 Apr

The Queensland Men have upset the previously undefeated Victorian’s, making way for an opportunity to become two time defending champions.

With scoring trends on the up for the entire event, the Vics were averaging 66 goals over the tournament.  Queensland pulled of strategic change, switching crowd favourite, Junior Levi from goal shooter to goal keeper, and the switch proved pivotal.  Previously averaging 66 goals across the tournament, the Vics could only manage 29 goals.

Victoria now go on to meet NSW in the Preliminary Final after NSW comfortably defeated South Australia 72-47.
