For over 30 years, AMMNA has been delivering umpires the opportunity to officiate at its annual championships, as well as achieve national honors, umpiring international tests, joining the Australian teams on tours to New Zealand, South Africa and more.
The Australian Mens’ and Mixed Netball Association Inc (AMMNA) calls for nominations from Nationally Badged umpires to become a member of the National Pool of Umpires. The Australian Championships will be held in Queensland, on the fabulous GOLD COAST, April 16 to 23, 2017 at newly redeveloped Carrara Sports Precinct.
Umpires receive an excellent opportunity to umpire at the elite level and also receive High Performance Coaching from AA Umpires, Maureen Stephenson OAM and Juleen Maxfield OAM.
Please find attached Nomination Form and Code of Conduct Agreement to be completed and submitted by 31 December 2016.
If selected to the National Pool, Umpires are expected to attend their respective State’s Training Sessions and assist with pre-championship preparations as requested by the respective State body. This also acts as excellent preparation for umpiring the elite competition.
AMMNA relies upon the generosity of its volunteers. Each year, costs for accommodation, ground transport, catering for the week, etc, total over $1,200 per umpire. AMMNA does have the capacity to heavily subsidize each participating umpire who becomes a member of the National Pool:
